All things music and mail…

Postman Dan has a unique and energetic style, combining elements of Outlaw Country with The Nirvana Unplugged in New York sound and a bit of Punk Rock swagger. His one man show always surprises new audiences with how only him and an acoustic guitar can fill the room with sound.

Dan got his start playing 1000’s of shows with alt-rock touring powerhouse “The Do Good Badlies” and has since branched off into his own thing. Right before covid took over the world, Dan put out a solo album and toured Canada, the USA, and Europe. In 2025 he plans to release a follow-up under his new moniker “Postman Dan”.

Outside of his stage show, Dan also keeps very busy hosting and producing The P.O. Box Radio Show. The show focuses on new Canadian music, is archived online, and airs on five stations across the country. He is also currently President of the Orillia Canadian Union of Postal Workers. When he has time he also even delivers mail!

Postman Dan is full of energy and can put on a great live show for a small pub or huge venue. He mostly performs solo but has extra players on call for special events. The Postman likes to be true to his show and he generally demands the attention of the room – being background music is not his forte! The show can be skewed towards more original content or more covers and can be skewed towards certain genres or eras. He also has specialty music for car shows and labour events.

The Postman’s cover song list includes songs by: The Beatles, The Tragically Hip, The Weakerthans, Hank 1, 2 & 3, Tyler Childers, Steve Earl, The Stooges, The Cure, CCR, The Clash, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, John Mellencamp, Jessie Reyez, Vampire Weekend, Amy Winehouse, Eric Clapton, The Headstones, George Jones, The Violent Femmes, and many, many more.
